The NARBHA Institute, Inc. (formerly Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority, Inc.) (NARBHA) was founded in 1967. It has been a private, not-for-profit managed care corporation designated by the Arizona Department of Health Services as being responsible for the planning, implementation, funding, monitoring and administration of publicly funded comprehensive behavioral health services in Northern Arizona.As of 10/1/2015, NARBHA has changed its name to The NARBHA Institute. As of that date, the new Regional Behavioral Health Authority is "Health Choice Integrated Care," (HCIC), a joint venture of NARBHA and Health Choice/IASIS Healthcare.
