NARBHA is affiliated with many local, statewide, and national advocacy committees. We encourage NARBHA members, their families, and residents of surrounding communities to share their voice. By participating in some of the organizations listed below, your voice will be part of the conversation that leads to improvement and progress in our public healthcare system. Join us!

 

NARBHA Committees Open to the Public

Arizona Children's Association

Clinical directors and other provider leadership staff meet to review new initiatives and quality-related issues; discuss concepts of treatment, such as trauma-informed care; and review policies and procedures. 

Meets: Third Tuesday, monthly

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Cultural Awareness and Diversity Committee

Ensures the integration of cultural and diversity needs into behavioral health services in northern Arizona through  many perspectives and consumer input. A safe and welcome space for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, hearing or sight ability, other physical or cognitive disabilities, mental health, gender identify, sexual orientation, or age.

Meets: Third Thursday, monthly

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Meet Me Where I Am

Committee reviews MMWIA data and program progress and makes recommendations for practice improvement.

Meets: Every other month, second Tuesday

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Northern Arizona Children's Council

Advisory and networking forum for children's behavioral health issues. Stakeholder forum for input into network and system of care planning. Dicussion based on improving system of care and promoting development of Arizona Children's Vision and 12 Principles.

Meets: Quarterly, the fourth Friday of the month

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Recovery Action Committee

Peers and families from all over Arizona discuss issues from an agency, system, and community standpoint. This meeting helps everyone work together and discuss issues related to training, supervision and coordination of care. The consumer and family voice can be heard in this meeting.

Meets: Every other month, the last Thursday

Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
