NARBHA and the caring providers in our behavioral health services network offer care and support to victims of natural and human-caused disasters. Following traumatic events, adults can experience an overwhelming sense of fear. Children often experience these events much differently than adults do. If you or your child is experiencing stress, confusion, fear, or trauma following this tragic news, we are here to help.

  • parent talking to childA Tragedy Support Line Hotline is available 24 hours, 7 days a week to anyone in Arizona seeking support and information on grief, stress, and trauma. Call 1-800-203-CARES (2273) to speak to a behavioral health professional who is there to provide counseling services
  • NARBHA's Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team is available to provide rapid response and structured educational and resource support services to your school or community group.
  • Our licensed clinicians at NARBHA and the Responsible Agencies throughout the region can offer education and awareness information.

Learn Mental Health First Aid

NARBHA offers Mental Health First Aid training to anyone - family members, friends, teachers, co-workers, and neighbors-  who wants to learn the signs and symptoms of mental health crisis and effective ways to respond in the event of tragedy. NARBHA has conducted more than 40 such trainings at our Flagstaff offices and within our northern Arizona provider network.
